AGVA - SILE TOUR-1  (Full Day Tour)

We start off our Istanbul Black Sea tour by picking you up from your hotel in the morning at 08:30. Rest assured, the day you spend with us is going to be memorable. The tour starts with a visit to the Polonezköy village where you will be staying for a short time but enough so that you get time to soak up in the history of the place . After that, the visitors are taken to Ağva, a small village where you’ll take off in a boat trip over the Black Sea. Lunch will be served while on-board and listening the to stories about Istanbul. Finally, the Istanbul Black Sea tour will come to an end with a ride back to your hotel.

After visiting and getting informations about historical places of Istanbul, time to discover green and virgin side of the city.

But Blacksea region is still untouched and has dense forest, a few fishing villages and beaches. Sile and Agva towns are two of those villages, which have most well-known beach resorts and located in Asia side of Istanbul.

PROGRAMME

You will pick up from your Hotel at 08:30 am. We will see Bophorus from Bosphorus Bridge during driving to Sile. After arriving we will see black-white striped Sile Lighthouse and visit Byzantine castle.

We will follow the coast line to reach to Agva. There are some small villages on our route. First one is Kabakoz where you can discover fishing village life. Then we will relax and swim at Kilimli beach.

At last we will arrive in Agva for boat trip on the Goksu River. Agva town covered by dense forest and Goksu and Yesilcay Rivers and more untouched village than Sile. We will go back to Istanbul around 18:00.

Sile, is a small town near Black sea and is the beach resort of Istanbul. This city is still a fishing village as being last 2.700 years.

Agva, is located the delta of Goksu & Yesilcay rivers. Agva, means "between two rivers", has also a beach.


Kilimli, is the famous bay in Agva. It is convenient for swimming, diving, trekking, picnic.

• POLONEZKÖY VILLAGE

This small village, also known as Adampol, was founded in 1842 as a camp-base for the Polish people escaping the Nazi invasion. At the beginning, the place accommodated as low as 12 people, but over the time, it has a population of 1000 people. Here, you can see how Istanbul maintained a good relation with other nations in the world. In fact, stepping into the village feels like you have been transported back in time to another era when Istanbul was still being emerging as a place that hosted people from different races and backgrounds. Besides the local church and the famous Polish cemetery where a lot of famous people laid their souls in, the Polonezköy village also hosts an annual summer festival celebrating the tie between Istanbul and Poland, of whom notable names include the famous poet Nazim Hikmet have attended.

• AĞVA VILLAGE

The Ağva village is one of the most idyllic spots in Turkey. In fact, to call it picture perfect is most apt. The Istanbul Black Sea tour included this spot precisely for this reason. Another reason, is the fact that it is the aptest location for the start of the boat ride. Located between Göksu River in the west and Yeşilçay river in the east, the term Ağva means “between the rivers”. The village of Ağva has strong ties to ancient Turkey and was a part of ancient Bythinia at some point. The place is also famous for its weaving of şile cloth, a famous Turkish product.

• Hagia Sophia Museum will be closed on Mondays between 1 November 2019 - 31 March 2020. On Mondays,

when Saint Sophia is closed, we visit the Chora Church, famed for its mosaics. 

• On Sundays we visit Nuruosmaniye Street around Grand Bazaar since Grand Bazaar is closed

• Since Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesdays, this tour can not be operated

• We do not recommend this tour for the persons having walking difficulty
