With a number of full size heated Olympic swimming pools in the area many teams and individuals are using the aea as a training base in preparation for competitions.
With a shortage of private swimming facilities never mind full sized Olympic swimming pools, suitable training for competitive swimming is becoming harder to find. And all to often times are restricted to accommodate the needs of the casual swimmer.

In Belek there are a number of full sized Olympic swimming pools, which are heated. Some are indoors and others outdoors, meaning training is possible all year around.

The pools are professionally set up and include the small diving boards for entering the water and the lanes can be segregated, the same as in competition.

This is a relatively new market but groving sport for Belek, as the hotels will work with each group in defining a training programme, taking into account the times and needs of the swimmers and closing it off to the public.

Belek is now the first choice for many clubs and countries as their overseas dedicated swim training base. This includes the German swimming team.
