One of the most impressive is the spa resort of Pamukkale, located in the Aegean region just north of the historic town of Denizli. Its post card perfect thermal pools are naturally carved from limestone cliffs. These outdoor pools provide a perfect temperature of around 33 centigrade. You can also visit the famous ruins of the Roman city of Hieropolis. The water is good for drinking and cures many diseases such as arthritis, obesity and blood pressure. Hotel Hieropolis is the premier resort of this area.

Apart from Pamukkale, Yalova also boasts one of the most picturesque Spas. The elite Turkish because of its well-built facilities and close proximity to Istanbul favors it. Just south of Yalova lays the Ottoman Empire favorite, Cekirge. The resort has many bathing establishments in and around Bursa. Bursa is in itself a reason to travel to Cekirge.
